No introductions necessary, but just in case:
Antonius Dintcho
Antonius Dintcho graduated from San Francisco State in 1999 with a BA in Product Design. As an electrician and established photographer, Antonius merged his skills to create his current works. "The lamps and fotos are a reflection of my spiritual path and inspirations as an artist, electrician and SK8Boarder."
How could you not include your known through out the skateboard world as Toad???
Justin Visser
Justin's been living in SF for the past seven years and has been taking photos for longer than that. His passion for photography stems from the simplicity of capturing a moment in time and the possibility of creating a story from a single image. Using a variety of techniques, Justin's photos have encompassed many subjects from luscious landscapes to urban street dwellings.
"I have been fortunate enough to visit the magical villages of Boca and Majahua in the state of Guerrero, Mexico multiple times and I am dedicating this exhibit to two great men. A father Don Eduardo Ornellas Ramirez, who recently passed away and his son Jose Ornellas Ramirez, who has been missing for several years."
Bryce Kanights
Bryce Kanights shot his first photographs as a teenage skateboarder on the urban streets of San Francisco. Incessantly sparked since those days of his youth, Bryce's passion, deep-seated involvement, creative mindset, and trained eye has documented and moved several generations of skateboarding'sculture and helped to shape the revolution of board sports over the years.Today, Bryce continues to produce images and bodies of work that are well-crafted, insightful and acutely reflective of the world around him.
Fit for Life: A Glimpse into the Physical Space of Senior Athletes By Bryce Kanights
It's often said that you're never too old to do anything you desire in life. And for those fortunate enough, there are no founded rules to tell you otherwise. It is with this belief that this series of portraits aspires to depict a disparate and elite class of seniors that are internally driven with a passion for sport, exercise and camaraderie. These active individuals routinely push their limits and inspire the conviction that life is truly what one decides to make of it.
Ok, seriously: Sick Boys, Thrasher Magazine, his Schmit Stix board was probably the board I bought most in my skate career. Adidaswise, BK, Bryce fuckin' Kanights putos!!! Growing up, me and my friends referred to him as 'The Mighty'. Dude's pretty much one of my biggest early influences.
LIL UNKNOWN FACT: Bryce was in my first car (75 VW van) on a drive back from a skate contest in Tahoe around 89(Ray Barbee was still am) with Mike Alcantar, Arco, and Tobin Yelland when the engine blew and we had to take the bus back to SF from Sac. I ended up leaving my camera in the car and have no photos or the camera from that period. Don't you love how I make this all about me?
Go to the fuckin opening putos!!!
